Bronze medal for Oups des Merveilles

The French bred, but AES approved stallion Oups des Merveilles (Richebourg), has won the bronze medal at the Belgian Young Riders championships in Pottes. He jumped double clear in the final under his rider Louke Baeten and moved up from tenth to third spot in the finales. The story of Louke and Oups sounds like a real fairytale as together they moved up from 1.00m level to 1.50m level in on year time. Oups des Merveilles was imported from France to Belgium by horse dealer Johny Stevens. From the first day he put his girl friend Louke Baeten in the saddle and together they learned what show jumping is all about. In Lummen the pair already jumped clear in a Longines Ranking class beginning of the season. They also won a national and an international Young Riders class last month.
