AES horse Jordan wins 1.60m at Hickstead

Today the Bunn Leisure Derby Trial at the Derby show in Hickstead was won by the Swedish rider Angelie von Essen on the AES gelding Jordan (Air Jordan). It was the only one jumping faults free in the jump-off. The horse was bred and owned by Steven Davenport. Angelie, the partner of Richard Davenport, was born in Sweden in 1978. She is a successful show jumper who also trained with Rolf-Goran Bengtsson for 2 years. For ten years, Angelie has educated young horses producing them to International level. She moved to Dinmore in 2008 to join the Davenport team. A few hours after the first AES victory in Hickstead, there already is another AES horse winning at 1.50m. William Funnell was the best in the last class on Friday aboard Billy Mexico (Cevin Z). Henry Turrell places fourth on Billy Ca Va (Billy Congo), also bred by Funnell.
